Diagnosed with breast cancer at age 24, Phuong came out of her treatment feeling lost: “I didn’t know where to go from there, and having somebody to talk to would have been fantastic”. Now a 5-year survivor, Phuong became a Firefly Sisterhood Guide to help others face the fears and challenges of diagnosis and treatment. For her, having one-to-one support is important.
Being a Guide Sister gives Phuong a meaningful way to “make something positive out of such a terrible experience.”
